About

Like every little boy and girl, I dreamed of the day I could make resumes my career. I joke, but it has become a passion—and now I'm the Co-founder and CEO of BeamJobs.

My twin brother and I (hi, Justin) started BeamJobs back in 2020 when we realized so many good job candidates weren’t getting interviews, not because of their qualifications or abilities, but because they didn’t know the unwritten rules of how to write a resume.

Today, I'm the author behind our guides, sharing what I've learned from helping millions of job seekers make resumes and cover letters that land interviews. I also oversee our marketing efforts and handle a lot of administrative tasks (you know, the typical taxes, budgeting, and "keeping the lights on" kind of work). We now have an incredible team across the globe that I couldn’t be more grateful for.

I’m based in NYC, and I live with my wife, Karla, and our two goofy dogs (Poppy and Lila). My biggest hobby, which is quite specific, is that I love to run loops in Central Park. I recently ran 90 miles in the park to raise money to get more (well, any) automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in the park. Now you may be wondering, “Why would someone do that?” and all I can say is I’ll get back to you when I have an answer!

Worst career move

I started my career working at a large insurance carrier. Let’s just say that corporate environment was not for me.

Best career move

Starting BeamJobs! In hindsight, very risky. But I love that we help real people and solve interesting problems.

Memorable fact

I once won a hundred-mile race! I know I keep mentioning running, but it’s all I’ve got aside from resumes.
